Traffic dashboard methods that always get 1,650 monthly views of a single article [Case Study]

Have you ever been in a situation where you put your heart, time, and mind to write your best article, thinking that you get the most traffic, only to find that some days you literally have close to zero, or just a few, visitors who read? “your best article”?

I’ve been there and it’s frustrated that shitty articles that could have cost less than 30 minutes of writing time are getting a lot of traffic.

I came across a new method of trafficking that is not very common and is not on the refrigerators of many marketers.

The traffic hack is from Kim Roach’s Traffic Dashboard and I want to share with you one of the 24+ methods in Traffic Dashboard. I tried this method and saw 500+ visitors from just one of the channels in less than 1 week, from just 1 article. I approached instant traffic spikes, the same day. I can’t wait to try the other methods: Kim, as always, isn’t afraid to throw all her best strategies into one low-cost product; many gurus would make a killing breaking down the 24+ traffic methods to create 24 different products. Not Kim, and I like that.

I’m sure Kim won’t mind if I openly expound on this strategy. If you know Kim, you will know that she knows what she does.

Well, let’s quickly dive into the 10X Method from the Traffic Dashboard.

Step 1: Write 1 article and submit it to the top 10 article directories.

Good content is easily shared – people retweet, send emails, share on Facebook and other channels. Your content has to be very good if you want to attract. If you are going to use these strategies that I am sharing, it means that you will be able to reduce the number of articles you produce because only one can bring in more than 1,650 visitors each month.

Step 2: Share every URL of every article you submitted to article directories on 30 social bookmarking sites using both Ping.fm and Hootsuite’s 100% Autoship feature. Both are free tools to automate the social bookmarking of your articles.

Step 3: turn the article into a PowerPoint presentation

Convert the article you submitted to article directories into a PowerPoint presentation and distribute it on top 5 slideshow (document) sharing sites such as slideshare, slideboom, authorstream, and slideburner.

Step 5: turn the same article into an audio podcast

Convert the same article to audio and submit it to the top 5 podcast directories such as itunes, odeo, podcastalley, podfeed, and podcast.net.

Step 6 – Convert Article to Video

Now turn that article into a video and distribute it to the top 5 video sharing sites like Youtube, metacafe, and vimeo. You can automate your video submission with traffic geyser (paid) or tubemogul (free).

Step 5: turn the article into a practical tutorial

Turn that same article into a step-by-step tutorial and submit it to the top 5 tutorial sites, including ehow, tutorialized.com, good-tutorials.com, designm.ag.com

Step 6: convert the article to PDF

Convert your article into a PDF format (like an ebook) and submit it to major ebook directories like free-ebooks.net, getfreeebooks.com

Step 7: distribute that PDF

Submit that same PDF to major document sharing sites like scribd and docstoc.

Now you can see how you can literally extend the power of a single item and give it wings. Are you starting to imagine how many unique visitors each of those sites can bring you each month?

Just to give you an example, I submitted 2 of my articles in PDF on Scribd and got over 500 views in less than 1 week. These PDF articles would continue to bring me visitors month after month.

Now let’s do the math: 1,650 visitors to just 1 article.

– It has 1 article reused in more than 5 formats (video, audio, tutorials, PDF, etc.) and distributed in 55 different channels for traffic.

– 55 Distribution Channels, 1 unique article:

or 10 article directories

o 20 bookmarking sites (assuming you have only signed up with 20 of the 46 ping.fm-supported bookmarking sites)

o 5 sites to share slideshows

o 5 podcast directories

o 5 video sharing sites

o 5 tutorial sites

o 5 sites to share documents

Now let’s take our math a little further, but we will be very modest to begin with, however we do expect traffic spikes throughout the months. Imagine that in the first month each distribution channel attracts 1 visitor per day, which would be 30 visitors per month. So you could average 1,650 monthly visitors from 1 single article each month.

Have you seen how you can spend a fraction of the time you spend writing articles and empower each article just by repurposing it in different formats and distributing it to different channels? That way, you can be sure to meet the information consumption preferences of different audiences – audio, video, and text.

With this strategy, all you need is to put more power into creating exceptional articles and blog posts rather than dissipating energy by creating low-quality silo articles.

Imagine again using this content distribution strategy for traffic in most of your articles? That would be putting your article marketing on steroids.

By the way, the traffic getting method I just shared with you is just one of 20+ modules containing tons of unusual traffic strategies in Kim Roach’s new Traffic Dashboard containing tons of different traffic getting methods unusual and unpopular.

Getting over 500 views from just 1 article that I distributed to just one of the 55 distribution channels that Kim exposes (a fraction I shared here), I can’t wait to start implementing the other methods in this module and the other modules.

Hope you take steps to implement this method on your website. I’d love to hear your results with this traffic strategy; feel free to share it with me.
