After the gestation period that lasts no more than 18-20 days, the mother hamster gives birth to her young, the average of which is about 6-10 young. Right after the baby dwarf hamsters hatch, the owner should leave the mother and babies alone for a few weeks. From time to time, you will have to go and provide them with fresh food and water. It is very natural for the mother hamster to be irritated by your presence, as they are quite possessive of her little ones.
