How difficult is it to be a teenage mother?

It’s easy to blame your teenage son when a pregnancy occurs, but the truth is that they are young, not educated enough about sexual activities, and already punished if it does.

I am a grown woman with two children and I had my first child when I was 25 years old. I remember how difficult it was, even if it was a planned pregnancy and I wanted a baby. Babies take over your life completely and that’s something you need to be prepared for. But like I said, even if you want that and you think you’re ready for a baby, it’s actually totally different.

For a teenager, if she becomes pregnant, it would be much easier if she has the support of her parents. That would be half a problem solved. Remember parents, she is already scared and lost, so helping her unconditionally is the only right thing to do. It is her decision how she will handle the situation, you just have to tell her that you stay with her no matter what she decides.

Maybe you know you can’t take care of a child and decide to put a baby up for adoption. Help her by taking her to a suitable agency that can find the best possible family for her baby. You may want to end a pregnancy. Support her by taking her to a hospital to a legal doctor so that she can get it right and prevent health complications. If you want to keep your baby, let her do it and be supportive. If she doesn’t stay with her baby when she has strong feelings about it, it would be a very difficult life for her.

Help your teen by ignoring other people who have nothing to do but look at others. They are being punished enough for being pathetic. The important thing here is saving lives and giving them the opportunity to stay healthy, physically and mentally, and continue to build their lives from there. Unplanned pregnancy happens to married adults who already have children and it is still difficult to cope with. Imagine what it is like for a young person who is herself a girl. If you can, help.
