Homemade facial masks that will leave your skin nourished

I have researched and searched and searched high and low for face masks that are the best. The ones that will leave your skin in much better condition than before! That means these 5 recipes below are the best homemade face masks your skin will love! You only need to do one of them once or twice a week and you will start to see a big difference!

Oatmeal and honey face mask

This amazing mask is all about soothing the skin. If you have super rough and really angry skin, you want something that will keep it cool, calm and collected! This mask is for all skin types and it’s so easy to make! All you need is some oatmeal, honey, and some hot water! It’s one of the best face masks out there if you really want something quick, easy, and oh so delicious for your skin!
Ingredients:

1/3 cup instant oatmeal
1/2 cup hot water
1 tablespoon of honey
1-2 tablespoons of plain yogurt without sugar

Addresses:

Add the water to your oatmeal and stir for a few minutes until it puffs up nicely. Add the honey and yogurt, and run through a blender to smooth and combine really well. Smear this all over your face, leave it on for 10 minutes or so, and then wash it off with lukewarm water. I know that.

*Note: This mask can also be used on eczema patches on other parts of your body, such as the inner arms, back of the knees, neck, etc. For areas other than the face, you can leave the treatment on for a bit longer before washing it off.
Coffee and Cocoa Facial Mask

Another nifty face mask you have to try has to do with coffee and cocoa! This mask will detoxify your skin and really make sure it isn’t puffy at all. This mask also helps replenish much of the lost moisture that your skin retains in the summer due to the heat. So if you want to plump up your skin and make it look healthy, hydrated, and so beautiful, this is the mask for you!

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons freshly ground coffee
2 tablespoons of pure cocoa powder
1 tablespoon of honey
3 tablespoons yogurt or sour cream

Addresses:

Mix all the ingredients, spread evenly on the skin and let it sit for about 10 minutes. When you rinse it off, gently massage your face to exfoliate as well. If there is any mask left after washing your face with it, add a little water to it and use it as a scrub for the backs of your arms and any other parts of your body that need a little smoothing.

Lemon and Strawberry Brightening Mask

This is a mask that will help you with any oily skin or even skin that has some issues. This mask will also brighten your skin and get rid of all those dead skin cells! You know why? For the strawberries! The strawberries actually contain an acid that will help with any and all blemishes you have, while the lemon juice will help close your pores and actually get rid of those skin cells for you. Try it and let me know how you like it!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup strawberry puree
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon of yogurt
1 tablespoon of honey

Addresses:

Puree all the ingredients, but don’t puree in a blender: you want it to be spreadable, not a liquid. Apply evenly all over the face and let stand for 8 to 10 minutes. Clean with a warm, wet washcloth and then rinse with cool water. I know that.

Avocado and honey face mask

If you have been sunburned and peeling a lot and your skin is very dry, you have to try this face mask! This mask is packed with all the good stuff that will leave your skin super nourished and looking amazing! This amazing mask will heal all flaking, remove all skin roughness, and nourish raw areas of skin. Coconut oil and avocado have amazing properties within both products that will leave your skin incredibly hydrated!

Ingredients:

1/2 very ripe avocado
2 tablespoons of honey
1/2 teaspoon coconut oil

Addresses:

Mash or puree the avocado until smooth and creamy, then mix in the rest of the ingredients. Apply to the face, avoiding the eyes, and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Clean your skin with a warm, damp washcloth, or rinse your face with warm water in the shower.

Redness reducing facial mask

Did you know that cold weather can actually aggravate any rosacea you may have? In fact, it can leave your skin super blotchy and red! That’s what this redness-reducing mask is for, to help remove the red from your face and leave it looking so pretty and fresh. All you need is some green tea, some yogurt, oatmeal, apple cider vinegar, and finally some honey! Did you know that apple cider vinegar is wonderful for your skin? It really helps stabilize the pH in your skin!

Ingredients:

1.5 tablespoons dry instant oatmeal
2 tablespoons of natural yogurt without sugar
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon of honey
strong green tea

Addresses:

Mix the first 4 ingredients in a bowl and add 3 tablespoons of hot, strong green tea to the mixture. Stir regularly for a few minutes, adding tea as needed until you’ve created a thick paste. Apply it to your face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then gently wipe off with a damp cloth. Rinse with cool to lukewarm water, but do not use soap, and gently pat dry. Repeat twice a week for best results.
