Coach House Insurance Quotes

You need to make sure that all your quotes specify your property as a carport property type, just tell an agent at a large call center that there are garages to cover, and telling them ‘everything will be fine’ doesn’t mean you’re insured. You cannot be sure that they understood your insurance needs or that you would be adequately covered. Ideally, you need this confirmation in writing, as you would any one-time arrangement that needs additional coverage. What matters is that the insurance company covers freehold properties, including garages/carports, etc., and will insure all of your legal responsibilities as the owner, including impacts and collisions, which protects the property from vehicle damage. It’s about what your policy actually includes, not what a telemarketer tells you it includes.

A very basic sign, and you may think it’s obvious, and one way to check, is to check that your property is listed as ‘Coach House’ on the insurance quote. It’s also good practice to get the quote in writing up front (this isn’t old school because it’s a one-time insurance need) and check your fine print first to make sure you know what you’re buying. For ordinary home insurance quotes we wouldn’t recommend this as a ‘must have’, but for Coach House insurance quotes we would.

Do not accept any policy document that states Single Family Home, Condo/Duplex, because it is not a Coach Home with rented garages/carports. You wouldn’t insure a Ford Fiesta and expect that to cover a BMW, right? It is the same principle.

Coach House Insurance quotes shouldn’t be more expensive than regular home insurance, so don’t worry – use a Coach House Insurance specialist, not a one-off insurer, as they will rate the risk higher and therefore they will add a percentage to the premium to cover their additional risk/management. Insurers that don’t cover garages on a daily basis don’t have the documents and tools ready to set up the policy, so all those extra costs will trickle down to you as a customer. Don’t use butcher shops to buy bread!

Your quote should be issued by an experienced adviser who can offer you simple advice and guidance around your liability as a landlord/tenant, someone who understands the nature of the product and can offer specific Coach House insurance quotes giving you all your options. and a selection of quotes and suppliers.
