The ancient practice of looking at the sun

Solar energy is the source that powers the brain. It enters the body through the elements of air, water, fire and earth. Sunlight enters and leaves the human body more easily and directly through the human eye, as long as it is not filtered by colored lenses. The eyes are the great portals through which sunlight enters the body.

Gazing at the sun is an ancient practice that can induce healing of the body and mind.

The eyes are highly complex organs, consisting of 5 billion intricately designed parts that work as a unit. The main function of the eye is the perception of light and darkness. Even the most basic and simple ‘eyes’, such as those found in single-celled organisms, have no other function than to detect whether the environment is light or dark in order to maintain circadian rhythms.

Acting like a photographic lens, the human eye is capable of breaking down the entire spectrum of sunlight into rays of different colors, a kind of ocular prism. In a camera, the various rays of light react with the chemicals in the film and encode the images you take accordingly. Likewise, entering the pineal gland in the brain, the different rays of light are chemically coded in the brain and transmitted to the organs and systems of the body.

The vital organs of the body depend on specific colors of the light spectrum. For kidney cells to function properly, for example, they require red light. Heart cells need yellow light and liver cells need green light. Mild deficiencies in any of the body’s organs and systems can lead to disease. Looking at the sun regularly can help restore balance and efficiency to all cells in the body.

The pineal gland is one of the most researched glands in the body. Scientists have established that bright light stimulates the production of serotonin and melatonin in the pineal, but there are other neurochemicals produced by the pineal that have deeper and more complex effects in addition to regulating mood, sleep, reproductive function, and body temperature.

Scientists at the University of Pennsylvania, including Dr. George C. Brenarr, a leading authority on the pineal gland, observed solar yogi HRM (Hira Ratan Manek) for 130 days in 2002. They found that his pineal showed growth and reactivation. The average size of the pineal is 6×6 mm, but in the case of HRM it was 8×11 mm.

Scientists refer to the pineal gland as the “stunted third eye.” In fact, along with the pituitary, it is the third eye chakra or energy center, better known as dormant rather than atrophied. According to the Rosicrucian writings of Max Heindel, in the distant past, man was in contact with the inner worlds through an activated pineal and pituitary gland. Considered the highest and most powerful etheric energy source available to humans, the third eye has always been important for initiating psychic powers (clairvoyance and seeing auras, etc.).

To activate the ‘third eye’ and the higher higher dimensions, the pineal and pituitary must vibrate in unison, which is accomplished through meditation or sun gazing. When a correct relationship is established between the personality operating through the pituitary and the soul operating through the pineal, a magnetic field is created. The pineal can generate its own magnetic field because it contains magnetite. This field can interact with the Earth’s magnetic field. The solar wind at dawn, charging the earth’s magnetic field, stimulates the pineal gland. This is why many spiritual teachings state that the period between 4 and 6 in the morning is the best time to meditate and why sunrise is the best time to gaze at the sun. At these times, the pineal stimulates the pituitary gland to secrete human growth hormone. That is why lovers of the sun often experience rapid growth of nails and hair, restoration of hair color, and general rejuvenation. Cleopatra used to place a magnet on her forehead to stimulate the pituitary and restore her youth and good looks. She didn’t know that she already had a magnet in her head.

The technique of looking at the sun requires nothing more than time and attention, and it is very simple. One should look at the sun only in the morning or evening hours, about an hour or less after sunrise or before sunset. Look at the rising or setting sun once a day. On the first day, look at the sun in a relaxed way for a maximum of 10 seconds. On the second day, watch it for 20 seconds, adding about ten seconds each following day. After ten straight days of looking at the sun, you will be looking at the sun for about 100 seconds. The eyes can blink or blink and do not need to be fixed. To receive the main benefits of sungazing, you must increase the duration in the above manner to three months. This brings you to the duration of 15 minutes of observation at a time.

At this stage, solar energy from the sun’s rays passing through the human eye will charge the hypothalamus tract, the path behind the retina that leads to the human brain. As the brain receives more and more additional energy through this pathway, you will find a drastic reduction in mental stress and worry. With access to this additional source of energy, you are likely to develop a more positive mindset and greater self-confidence. If you suffer from anxieties and depression, you will find that these disappear. Sadness and depression are known to increase with reduced or lack of exposure to sunlight. With less worry and fear, your brain can use the extra stored and supplied energy to heal and improve mental and physical well-being.

One of the most common benefits of regular sun gazing is improved eyesight.

Life-giver, with golden rays, the eternal watchful eye, called ‘the beginning’ and ‘ultimate truth’ by wisdom, the Sun is also mankind’s first recognized physician. We have turned to it for healing for centuries, from our very beginnings.
