SPONDYLOSIS – Treat Spondylosis in Ayurveda

A short description

Spondylosis is a disease state of the vertebrae, the bony blocks of the spinal column, which become fixed and rigid as a result of some diseases. Osteophytes, that is, bone spurs, and intervertebral degeneration cause debilitating changes in the spine, a condition known as spondylosis. The changes that occur in the spine due to spondylosis are also known as osteoarthritis. There are certain conditions of this state, as a result of which some chronic and agonizing developments can occur. The spine is an organ that cannot be transplanted like the heart, liver or kidneys. Therefore, caution should be exercised when dealing with spondylosis. The vertebrae, the discs and the spinal cord have a synchronized operation, whose balance will be seriously affected in the case of Spondylosis.

Osteoarthritis is spondylosis of the lumbar spine, where degenerative changes occur in the joints and vertebral discs; They act as a cushion between the vertebrae.

The neck (cervical spine), upper and middle back (thoracic spine), and lower back (lumbar spine) are parts of the body where spondylosis occurs. We mainly see cervical spondylosis and lumbar spondylosis. Specific symptoms are rarely observed in the case of thoracic spondylosis. When spondylosis affects both the lumbar spine and the sacral spine, the condition is known as lumbosacral spondylosis, which is a degenerative condition from the base of the spine to just below the lumbar spine. When such degenerative changes occur in multiple vertebrae of the spine, the condition is known as multilevel spondylosis.

CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS

When the spinal discs in the neck are affected, the condition is known as cervical spondylosis. When the discs in the neck shrink and dehydrate, bone spurs will appear as a sign of osteoarthritis. Cervical spondylosis is the most common, which becomes more chronic with age.

LUMBAR SPONDYLOSIS

When someone is diagnosed with lumbar spondylosis, they may be surprised and want to know more about it, namely spondylosis, which affects the lower back. This is a degenerative condition of the lower back of the spine. The lumbar part of the spine supports most of the weight of the body. Beyond the function of bending, turning and twisting are also the duty of this part of the spine. As such, lumbar spondylosis is one ailment seen among many.

Nerve compression, which causes pain in the lumbar spine, is a symptom whose causal factor is abnormality in the structure of the spine, cartilage erosion and stiffness. Difficulty walking will also be experienced. The pain will be worse in the mornings, which will be reduced by exercise, which causes an increase in blood supply.

THORACIC SPONDYLOSIS

Most of us do not know what thoracic spondylosis is and therefore we are surprised when we are diagnosed with thoracic spondylosis, which affects the thoracic region of the spine. This condition is not as common as cervical spondylosis or lumbar spondylosis. Thoracic spondylosis is caused by degeneration in the middle part of the spine. Degeneration through dehydration of the cartilage and also the viscous fluid within the disc, which functions as a cushion between the vertebrae; are the causative factors, which leads to thoracic spondylosis. When degeneration begins, the discs, with the fluid inside them less viscous, will not be able to withstand the stress caused by movements such as walking, bending over, lifting weights, etc.

Aging causes wear and tear because there is loss of tissue in the particular portion and also in the ligaments and tendons, which maintain the balance of supporting the bones, they shrink and dry out. This results in loss of spinal alignment. Symptoms of degeneration will appear in the chest area, only after being affected in the other areas.

Numbness and tingling are experienced in the extremities, that is, in the hands, arms, palms, fingers, legs, and toes. Difficulty walking, loss of coordination of movements, muscle cramps, stiffness in the middle of the back; of course severely in the mornings, they also look.

Chavarcode Ayurvedic Physicians for Spondylosis has developed a foolproof herbal formulation:

VASKO, SINE TONE AND POMEGRANATE EXTRACT are administered simultaneously for 3 months.

BASQUE:

Damaged cartilage regenerates naturally by increasing perfusion to its periphery. Degeneration is stopped and regeneration is boosted by the increased amount of micronutrients present in rare and unique herbal ingredients with very rich antioxidant properties. Regeneration is obtained by creating harmony at the hormonal level. The multiplication and regeneration of cartilage cells, in geometric progression, is miraculously achieved. The normality of the space between the joints is recovered by reversing Osteoarthritis,

Osteochondral grafting, autologous chondrocyte implantation or regeneration of ICA and mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are among the new methods through which a person’s cells and tissues are used to regenerate damaged cartilage of points weight-bearing bone. This procedure is very expensive and its long-term effect has not yet been proven.

VASKO has the very beneficial property of regenerating cartilage in a short period of 30 to 90 days.

SPINETHONE

SPINETONE has ingredients that have analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, which will be absorbed by the skin of the scalp and will pass through the lymphatics, along with the intravertebral and perivertebral regions. The pinching of the nerves will be reversed in your case with osteophytes. The decongestant effect of SPINE TONE relieves the inflamed spondylotic part. Its decongestant effect not only on the nerve roots but also on the spinal cord is a proven fact. Its regenerative effect also strengthens ligaments, cartilage and bones. Trapped nerve roots and also the spinal cord that remains compressed will get noticeable relief with SINE TONE. This summarizes the easier mobility of the neck and spine.

POMEGRANATE EXTRACT

The health benefits of plant-derived flavonoids found in vegetables, leaves, and fruits, and especially their efficacy in treating disease, have been a topic of great interest throughout the immediate past, all over the world. Among the various types of fruits available in the world, without a doubt, the pomegranate is one of the most beneficial in terms of medicinal properties. Very effective therapeutic properties of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nature are beneficial against various diseases.

Human cartilage degeneration has been found to be prevented by the use of pomegranate fruit extract, in an interesting case study. The world famous JOURNAL OF NUTRITION has published that study in 2005 as detailed below.

Researchers at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine have discovered that pomegranate extract blocks enzymes, which cause cartilage degradation linked to osteoarthritis. Interleukin -1b the protein molecule, which has the role of excessive production of inflammatory molecules, including MMPs (matrix metalloproteases). But when MMPs are produced in excess in osteoarthritis, they cause cartilage degeneration that leads to joint damage. When the culture prepared with samples of human cartilage tissue from patients with Osteoarthritis was mixed with the aqueous extract of the Pomegranate fruit, using a vitro model, it was found to have one more benefit, which is CARTILAGE PROTECTION. This fact added to the already established benefits of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

These facts undoubtedly make it clear that excess production of MMP enzymes can be prevented by using pomegranate fruit extract.

Another study on pomegranate fruit was conducted by a group of researchers from Western Reserve University’s own School of Medicine. Rabbits were given pomegranate fruit extract and plasma tissue was isolated from them and treated to see that there was a remarkable production of Cox-2. Cox-2 is the enzyme that is involved in inflammatory conditions and also in reducing the production of pro-inflammatory substances obtained from those cells, which were isolated from the infested cartilage.

One among the other studies done on the subject was seen published in the journal: ‘Physiotherapy Research’. He has evaluated the amount of effect of pomegranate extract on mice. The mice were on a diet enriched with monoiodoacetate with the intention of damaging joint cartilage due to the other structural changes, which are related to osteoarthritis. The result was absolutely encouraging, ie the contraindication of monoiodoacetate was successfully avoided by the administration of pomegranate extract. It was also inferred that damage caused by chondrocytes, the only cells found in cartilage in such a condition, was prevented. It was also observed that no inflammatory cells could be located in the synovial fluid of the mice, which were fed pomegranate extract.

The efficacy of this particular formulation is exemplary, if administered continuously for 30 to 60 days.
