It managed to pass our demanding performance tests and we can definitely say that this mini laptop is very versatile. Let’s see what the guys at Sony managed to put inside this 10.54 x 1.08 x 7.07-inch laptop, which weighs less than 3 pounds.

First off, the Intel Atom Processor N470, running at 1.83 GHz with a 512 kB L2 cache and 667 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB), is quite powerful, though not as good as some of its competitors. . However, it managed to pass our tests quite well. Sony VAIO VPCW221AX mini laptop comes with only 1 GB (1 1 GB device) of DDR2 random access memory, working at 667 MHz frequency is a bit less than we expected, but users can always upgrade to 2 GB, who should be giving up enough. The integrated Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 video card performs well and manages to render bright and clear images on the Sony VAIO VPCW221AX 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

The Sony VAIO VPCW221AX comes with a large 250GB hard drive that will satisfy most users’ need for space. The good thing is that it consumes less power than most of its more powerful competitors and the large capacity battery manages to keep the laptop powered for up to 8 hours in default brightness mode and up to 7 hours in maximum brightness mode. The standard IntelĀ® High Definition Audio system is good enough to satisfy most music enthusiasts, and the A2DP stereo Bluetooth technology is a great addition.
