Nail the look for your interview

We all get nervous when we have to go to a prospective job interview. We get nervous and are always anxious about the result and the process. The interviews are mostly very formal and it depends on the company you are interviewing for. As the day of the interview approaches, we forget about the preparations of the material and we begin to worry about our attire.

It is very important to look absolutely perfect for that interview. The best way to know what to wear is to do your research. You must know perfectly the work of the company, your work profile and, if possible, the work environment. If you are aware of all this then it is easier to decide if you need to go fully formal or something semi-formal or just anything works, buy jewelry to add to that or wear something you own. Mainly, your outfit depends on the job you are taking on and the type of work you do.

But before you go there, here are some basic rules to follow:

1. Know your comfort zone

It is very important to be comfortable with what you are wearing. So choose a tried and tested combination of clothing, and if you buy a new outfit, wear it at home and see if it is completely comfortable. Choose dark colors to avoid sweat marks or for the outfit to turn see-through, in the event of a mishap like water splashing on you. Do not fret over it and make sure you are confident in what you wear, otherwise you will feel very self-conscious.

2. Black is not always right

Don’t go black in your interviews; it’s too dark and too dull. The interviewer will constantly look for some color in you. Wear black but add a little color. Wear a patterned scarf or blouse or even buy jewelry that is vibrant and stylish. Stay smiling and upbeat to keep that vibrant, non-depressing black look.

3. Shoes are equally important

When you go to interviews, the interviewer notices everything, so don’t think for a minute that you can get away with wearing something that isn’t formal or doesn’t match. Never choose a new or uncomfortable pair of flats or heels, you will end up with shoe bites and you will not be able to walk confidently due to all the pain. Avoid using pairs of bright colors, you can go for paste or printed ones that are more subtle and not overwhelming.

Here are some basic tips that are valid for any type of interview in any field:

• Don’t worry about dressing your interviewer; you actually have to do that. Add a blazer to your formal attire or wear heels instead of flats, even if you have to carry the heels in your bag for the trip. Buy jewelry that matches your outfit perfectly and adds a bit of color, but not too much,

• Don’t overdo your makeup and hair. Keep it minimal and natural. Choose a nice lip color along with a minimum of makeup is all you need and let your hair be natural, to the maximum to straighten it to the maximum, but it does not curl or curl it.

• Don’t go through the roof in your heels. Keep them medium high or even with high heels. It’s not a good option to go for the 6-inch heels you bought the other day.

Not many choose to wear jewelry, except for earrings in interviews, but it can buy jewelry depending on your job profile and add an extra touch to your appearance over others.
