Male Cat Names: Name Your Kitty Cute, Or Less Cute

Whether you’re naming a bruised and bitten ex-alley cat on the ear or the cutest kitty, both need a name they can be proud of.

So how do you choose good male cat names?

Let me tell you a story… Once upon a time there was a couple who were taking a night walk and heard a plaintive cry. At the top of a tree they discovered the smallest of the kittens. Incredibly, the kitten descended and in time became the most beloved house cat. The history? This cat was given a very special name, Quercus. Why Quercus? Because they found it among the branches of a noble oak, and the Latin name for the oak is Quercus.

What does this have to do with you and your name search? Think again. Let your imagination go back in time. Ask yourself if your cat or kitten might have a trigger word that could produce their future name. Did he come in from the street? Homeless. Are you a street fighter? slugger. Is he still running through the trees? Bow. Did it do anything fun when you first got it? Guzzler or Guzzy for short.

Just out of inspiration or creativity for great cat names? Go for the looks.

It’s almost embarrassing to admit, but a big, tough black cat that limped off the street is now called Black Boy. Or, more poetically in his veterinary roles, Garcon Noir. It is true that a more original name could have been found, but Black Boy is and will continue to be. I don’t know if I’ll ever get over it, but another little striped kitty of mine grew up named Stripey.

Nothing yet?

Then check out more color-based cat names! A jam cat could be called Cornflakes. A black cat male cat’s name might be Topper (perhaps slang for the top hat). Do you need a white cat name? Take a look at words from the frozen north, for example, Blizzard or Igloo, or perhaps names of cities, countries or ski resorts, Aspen, Telluride or Zermatt, which are synonymous with snow. Is your cat a bit of both? Tux, perhaps, or Zebra (if you’ve somehow ended up with a striped cat!)

What about famous male cat names? Borrow a name from a celebrity or famous person, or even a cat.

Colette had many cats throughout her life, for a name with an exotic French twist Muscat and Petiteu could be considered, but there are many more. presidential association? So the socks could go on. Plus? King, Prince and Rocky maybe. And if you have a ginger cat who wants to be famous, he’s always… Garfield.

How about a cute male cat name? Puffin, Pumpkin, and Sooty all sound adorable.

For lovers of witch tales and things that go bump in the night, you can find amazing otherworldly names: why not Bat, Spook, Merlin or Druid for your mystical new cat?

You may think that some of these names are too fussy or even over the top, so you’ll want something a little more popular. In Britain Chester has a certain seriousness, Skipper and Smudge sound quite realistic. They were all voted very popular. In the USA? Harley and Max maybe.

I wish you the best in your search for the best names for male cats, go ahead and make his day! Give him a name to be proud of!
