How To Get Your Website High Listed In Search Engines
Welcome
Welcome to the world of internet marketing. Now you can use the insights from this Special Report to market your products and services over the web for great rewards.
Introduction:
Google has changed our world forever. We no longer ask people for recommendations; We no longer call our friends for long talks. We no longer waste our time at the coffee machine …
In general, we are busy on our laptops or PCs, searching for something on the Internet, using search engines like Google or Yahoo! So much is happening in the world, and the internet is becoming the key medium to keep in touch with everything: e-greeting cards, MSN messenger, GMail, Net2Phone, grocery shopping, Amazon, eBay, Internet Radio & TV .. whatever, and it’s available on the internet. So why would you or your clients leave home?
Small businesses need an internet boost
With all of this happening at high speed, the small business owner has to think of ways to get their product or service in front of eager buyers. And where do you find such eager buyers? After all, they may not visit your store or office. Tip: Look them up on the Internet.
Two ways to get new clients
There are only two ways to get customers: you find them or they find you.
Push method: find your customers
By competing in a global market, you will have less and less time to find customers yourself. And the more you chase customers, the more they run away from you.
Extraction method – your customers find it
A pull method, where prospects eagerly searching for your products or services find you, works best. Because they are looking for you – “the expert”, you have a much higher perceived value, and consequently, you have to do much less selling… (They are already sold when they found the expert in you).
Make it easier to find
If you (i.e. your website) is easy to find, more prospects won’t have to chase you. Today, they can search high and low in search engines to find your products and services.
If your website ranks high in the search engines (Hint: on the first page or two), you have a good chance of getting their attention. If you’re among the remaining 432 million pages, you don’t stand a chance.
Not everyone can be on the first pages of search engine results. But you can, if you follow certain principles, some guidelines, and show persistence and perseverance.
The art of optimizing your web pages, so that search engines think they are highly relevant to what people are searching for, is called search engine optimization, or SEO for short.
Search engine optimization explained
Search engine optimization (SEO) makes every page of your website work like a magnet to attract eager prospects. It starts with identifying the keywords that people are most likely to search for your product or service in search engines.
Keyword identification
For example, if you sell rare second-hand watches on the web, you want people searching for “second-hand Rolex,” “used Patek Philippe,” or “rare brand watches” to access your website.
Optimizing your website for these keywords
So you optimize the pages with those keywords. You use these so-called “keywords” in your web copy (body or text written on your web page). There are many ways to include these words on the page.
For example, your page title might be “How to select a rare brand watch.” Then the various paragraphs on this page could have subheadings such as: “Find the rare brand watch”, “How to identify a fake brand watch”, “Negotiate the price of a rare brand watch”, “Large collection of second-hand Rolex watches “. etc.
Search engines find their gold mine
You may have noticed that the keyword “rare brand watch” has already appeared multiple times in the title, body, and description. Search engines think you have great content for the word “rare brand watch” and move your list much higher in search engine results.
If you do it consistently and correctly, you have a much better chance of reaching the top pages for your keywords.
Don’t overdo it, or you’ll get banned
This is just one of the techniques. Of course, you can’t overdo it, or Google might punish your site and not display it at all if you think you’ve intentionally “stuffed” your keywords into the body of your web page, and the sentences don’t make much sense. So do it carefully and benefit from this technique, but don’t overdo it.
Other ways to get a high list in search engines
SEO requires you to modify many aspects of your website; it could easily continue to do so for the next several months. And this is also a key point … continue to make changes to your site regularly. This shows that your site is up-to-date, up-to-date, and is not something that was set up in 1998. Of course, a current site is rewarded with a higher ranking than an old site that is never updated.
Some of the other basic SEO techniques are:
For. Optimizing your page title,
B. Use of appropriate meta tags for keywords, description
vs. Use of descriptive headings
D. Have a sitemap on your website
me. Enriching your site with content
F. Facilitate navigation to internal pages
gram. Creating inbound links from other authority sites and directories
Each of these techniques takes time, and you need to do it carefully, correctly, and make sure to keep the site up-to-date for continued good search engine support.
Below is more information for each of these SEO techniques. Use it to your advantage.
Page title optimization
The title of a page is what is displayed at the top of your browser window. Most websites don’t even have a page title. Others have the company name as the page title. Ideally, each page on your website should have a unique page title. It should be brief, but clearly summarize what the page is about. Keep it between 60 and 100 characters. The Windows title bar can’t display more than that anyway.
Use of appropriate meta tags for keywords, description
If you’ve never heard of meta tags, don’t be alarmed. These meta tags are not designed for humans. It is more intended for search engines, so they can evaluate what the site is about. To check if your website has meta tag settings, visit any page on your website and do a View Source from your browser menu.
You will notice that just below
&Many search engines use these meta tags to display the description below your website on search engine listing pages. The largest search engine that uses this type of listing is Yahoo! Even Google uses keywords to some extent.
Use of descriptive headings
If you know basic HTML, using heading tags (starting from H1, H2 to H6), for your titles, your subtitles get these keywords with higher weight in search engine rankings.
You can edit the HTML of your website with editors like Microsoft FrontPage or Dream Weaver. Then add an H1 tag to your most important heading line. For subtitles, use H2, etc.
Have a sitemap on your website
A sitemap is a virtual map of your website. It shows how the different pages are linked to each other. With this type of map, it is much easier for search engines to reach all the pages on your site and crawl them.
There are many free tools available from search engines that can help you create a sitemap. Even Google offers its own Google Sitemap tool.
Enriching your site with content
If you regularly add product news, events, company news, articles of interest, your site becomes livelier, more interesting, and a place where your potential customers can find much of the information they are looking for.
A deep, content-rich site is a boon to you, helping you get higher search engine listings with ease.
Facilitate navigation to internal pages Most sites use a breadcrumb type of navigation to help the browser find information and jump to other branches when necessary.
A trail of breadcrumbs looks like this
Home> Books> Marketing Books> Magnetic Marketing
In this way, a user can navigate at any level. From “magnetic marketing” to “Books” or Start in one click.
Search engines love sites that make it easy to navigate. It shows them that you are thinking about your browsers, your customers, and not just yourself.
Creating inbound links from other authority sites and directories
One of the most important things that can make or break your trip to search engine front pages is inbound links.
Inbound links are links to your website that come from other websites, directories, and authority sites. It’s not just about content anymore. Today, there are millions of great sites that are rich in content. To compete with them, you can also create great content. But that is not enough.
Search engines like Google and Yahoo search who links to you. If you have great content, authority site, many websites, blogs should be linked to that content. If no one links to you, then Google doesn’t give you a higher ranking.
