How to get great travel deals and hotel reservations for Las Vegas

This recession has put everyone in a financial crisis and even though vacation tickets and hotel bookings in Las Vegas are down and even though flying there is expensive, you can still find some great deals if you search online. The big casino hotels are struggling right now, but they are doing some very innovative things to try to attract visitors. Most casinos like Harrah’s offer pre-packaged deals where you would get a decent but not very large percentage off a plane ticket, but save a good amount on a hotel reservation.

Visitors still go to Las Vegas, but now they are on a shoestring budget. Hotels now offer extras like great shopping deals, special dining, and hangout venues that will appeal to the younger crowd. Some hotels even offer rewards points that would allow them to watch certain entertainment programs that they would normally pay for. This is a great concept because it will also appeal to the whole family.

The Las Vegas economy might be down right now, but they are experts at weathering economic downturns. They have done it many times before and will do it again. Even though they are giving American residents great deals on hotel rooms, they are also beginning to zero in on the one place that could really help them survive this great recession and hang on until the housing industry picks up and starts a change. They are now focusing most of their effort on reaching potential customers abroad and offering them good deals on travel tickets and hotel stays. They can bring in a fresh new elite crowd from Europe who have more than their fair share of money to spend on Las Vegas-style gambling and entertainment.

So, from now until the end of 2009, you’ll probably be able to choose the Las Vegas hotel you want to stay at, and probably name its price. So if you have a chance to get out and take your mind off these economic times, I suggest a short weekend trip. Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps, so have fun and have fun.
