How do movies affect society?
If you are a certified fan of the movies, it has certainly influenced your decisions, thoughts, mood, views, etc. Movies are one of the best recreation options. There are currently thousands of films produced by different film industries today.
A romantic movie will give you a romantic influence. It can give you some tips on how to persuade and please your partner or the person you love. It can give you a hint on how to have sex or some loving scenes that couples or even young people can emulate once they see it. Public displays of affection became popular due to the influence of romantic movies. There are scenes showing a boy and a girl holding hands as they walk through the crowd, kissing and hugging.
As scientists and doctors have shown through careful studies and research, the impact of violence really depends on the personality and character traits of young adults and children. A child or adolescent who has been raised in an abusive family and has been beaten as a child is more likely to throw himself at other people, especially if they have just watched very violent movies.
Movie stars have eventually built a huge following and the attitude of heroes in a movie will be followed by some of them in their real life situations as well. The worst part is that fans will copy the stunts performed even though they will risk their lives. On the other hand, there are movies that will serve as a source of information and knowledge. Movies based on research give you the influence of research and the invention of new things. A historical film tells about antiquity and their lifestyle that urges man to adopt or, in some way, influence them. Classic movies provide classic art and lifestyle. These films are usually the sources of students for research purposes and also serve as a means to expand their knowledge about different things because it is more lively and perhaps entertaining.
How do people interpret history? One of the main sources of the story is the movies because the authors knew that people see and believe in the movies that appear in them. But the sad thing is that some of the data presented is not absolutely factual. That is the reason why young people are not so good at acting out stories because they sometimes get the wrong information from the movies.
So what is the purpose of requiring a rating system for movies and TV shows? It is to educate parents and adults if a movie incites violence among teenagers and young children. However, there are still doubts as to whether the ratings such as “R” or Parental Guidance (PG) have been the best way to remind older people of their responsibilities to guide the young, as we cannot ignore the fact that Movie influences are widespread and if this continues, it will even encourage children to play violent and abusive video games. The ratings are silly if the people who revolve around the film industry don’t know the right way to entertain people, considering that children might also imitate some actions in movies that are too sensitive and inappropriate.
Almost everyone had experienced circumstances where their minds are influenced by what they see in horror movies. According to James Ranel of Brown University, the best way to deal with horror and violence movies that teens and young children have seen is to get parents or guardians to talk to their children too because it allows them to understand what they just saw. see and that the movie is not real.
