Explode Your Business Profits With Free Website Promotion (Part 5)

In a previous article I listed the twelve best free ways to promote your website. If you put these ideas into practice consistently over a long period of time, you are guaranteed to get a lot of new website visitors. You’ll also get new customers and increased sales. Increased sales and decreased advertising costs will blow up your profits!

1. Open a free Twitter account and coordinate it with your blog posts.

Twitter is like a blog where posts are limited to 140 characters. It’s fun to send quick messages to your “followers”. It took the online world by storm last year and is now considered necessary. The truth is, with the younger crowd, if you can be visible on Twitter in your own market, you can attract a lot of attention, publicity, and customers. You can use your posts, called Tweets, to promote your website and blog where you have all your content. You can link to your MySpace and Facebook pages (see below). Try it and you will see how much fun it is!

two. Open Facebook and MySpace accounts and invite your current and future customers to join.

You can get a lot of free publicity and develop customer relationships on these massive social networking sites. Just set up an account and then start inviting people on your lists. Then post things there in addition to our blog and Twitter.

Really successful online marketers and promoters use these vehicles all together as an interconnected whole. Twitter Tweets send people to Facebook, and Facebook is set up to refer people to your blog, etc. All of them are necessary to reach the largest number of people. It’s worth taking the time to figure out how to do this, and keep an eye out for future articles on these topics.

3. Every time you blog, write an article, or issue a press release, post a free notice on social networking sites like Digg, Delicious, or StumbleUpon.

These so-called “social bookmarking” sites have tremendous power when it comes to web advertising. They are like the most popular kids in school. If they like you, then you get a lot of attention. Mainly it is the big search engines that pay attention. If your blog posts appear on Digg, Delicious, and StumbleUpon, Google calculates that your content is high-quality, relevant, and popular, so it will rank very highly. Get accounts on these three plus 15-20 other greats and see how it improves your search engine rankings.

Remember that search engine traffic is free traffic for your business and may be more valuable to you than the traffic you pay for!
