Let go of old patterns and your past

When we go through life, sometimes we choose not to leave behind our past, our fears, our choices and our behaviors. We do not live as what we have become, but we live our life from the past. We manage to portray ourselves in a way that simply repeats our old behaviors, our way of seeing the world and therefore how we interact with it. We choose not to relate our lives beyond our understanding, but within the safe confines of our old selves. Why are we doing this? Simply because he has learned the behavior and it is easy. We don’t let go so we can become what we think we are based on our past and memories. However, we are made of much more than our past. The past is a factor portrayed throughout our lives as a pretext for living. Simply put, we are not our past. We are new in every waking moment in which we exist.

Letting go of your past is living freely as you are. Yes, things can happen in your past that feel damaging or formative; however, it is our behavior and our internal beliefs that create the idea of who we are. We are not our past; our past ended as soon as it happened. However, most people live in a state of existence that belongs almost entirely to their past. Why? Because it is the only truth we know, and that is why we identify with it. Although it is no longer real, we feel comfortable and safe living this way. However, are we truly happy and at peace with ourselves?

In order to free yourself from old behaviors, fears, habits, or anything that feels old, it is important to understand that by letting go of the past within yourself, you are allowing yourself to become who you truly are, with nothing standing in the way. We all know what it feels like to be weighed down by something that feels old and useless in our lives, no matter what it is. This is you telling yourself that you’re done and that Let’s go. If each of us could exist in the present, free from our past, we would know much more happiness and peace from within, because we are who we really are and not a presentation of what we were yesterday.
