They say, “What you eat is what you are.” What you eat reflects who you are physically, emotionally and mentally. Health is wealth as they say. There are people who are healthy enough but have brittle hair and lose their hair at a young age, but there are also people who are unhealthy but their hair looks healthy. Keep your hair as clean as possible. Have a regular bathing regimen. Do not use hair products with strong chemicals. Chemicals are more likely to cause split ends and hair breakage. When you rinse your hair after shampooing, be sure to rinse it well. Remaining shampoo residue can cause damage. It’s good to apply a conditioner though, just make sure you only apply it to the ends.

Exercise regularly and get enough sleep. Exercising regularly allows blood circulation throughout the body because the hair follicle gets nutrients from the blood. Exercise also relieves stress. Make sure you get enough sleep. Lack of sleep can cause hair loss.

Protect your hair from the sun. The heat and ultraviolet rays of the sun can make it brittle and dull. Take precautions to protect your hair from the sun just like you protect your skin. Wear a hat if you appear to be exposed to extreme sun rays. Remember not to oil your hair if you plan to expose it to direct sunlight. You would expose your hair to a great risk of burning and damage.
