In this article, I will share 7 ways you can use to increase blog traffic. As we know, more traffic equals more sales and who doesn’t want that? If you’re not getting good quality traffic to your blog, then you’re blogging in vain!
Tip #1– This is probably the oldest trick in the book, but it still works to this day. It is simple and natural to leave comments on blogs and forums related to your niche. Now the rule of thumb for this is to make sure you leave your blog link on a blog or forum that is “do-followed”. An easy way to check the follow or do not follow sections is to simply use Firefox as your browser. Note that you should only use Firefox for verification purposes, as if you regularly browse with it, you may get banned from Google for too many search queries ๐
Purpose: When we leave our links on tracking sites, we are simply telling search engines to follow that link and actually give us some link juice from that site. What I mean by syndicating is simply submitting your articles to article submissions and making it possible to include them on your site. The number one place to submit your article will be EzineArticles! I have found that they give me excellent search engine results and are definitely responsible for the drastic increase in traffic and sales for my blog! Remember what I mentioned earlier about keyword research within article marketing as well? Well, make sure you know what you’re doing before you even try to write an article and submit it. For an EzineArticle article to rank in the top 10 results on Google, it really doesn’t take much if the keyword you’re targeting isn’t that competitive. Although I have experienced that some articles are in a good placement for millions and millions of competitor pages! That’s how good EzineArticles is! So in a nutshell. Choose a long tail phrase or 3 keywords to write your article and blog post. Search for less than 60,000,000 competing pages (only go that high for EzineArticles!!). Next, type your keyword into Google from your Firefox browser and look at the top 10 pages. What you want to look for is if 5 out of 10 of the sites have less than a “5” pr. Nothing else matters when submitting EzineArticles. If someone has told you otherwise, then you don’t know what you’re doing right and you’re probably missing an opportunity. We continue writing our article, posting it to the blog, submitting it to EzineArticles with good keywords, relinking back to our site, and then presto! They usually approve articles within 7 days and once approved you can see your article rank quite well if optimized properly.
