How to silence your inner critic and lose weight

Whether you say it out loud or not, we all have that inner critic that gets you down and is like a tape playing in your head. Over and over again she says: my arms are limp, I am too fat, I am ugly and unattractive, she is too skinny, I am a failure. Yet you do everything you can to lose weight and never do, try every fad diet, every juice diet and never see deeply satisfying results. All you see and feel is more pain in your failure. You constantly hit repeat on your Mind Tape.

Well, I would like to share the solution to this and lose weight easily and effortlessly as a result.

Your inner critic is actually your ego. And if you’re a lady, then I like to call it your shego! Your ego kicks in every time you want to make a change (loss weight, get rid of your belly fat, make a change in your career) and tells you you CAN’T do it. It sounds something like this: “you can’t do that, it hasn’t worked before, why would it work now? My body doesn’t shed fat as easily as hers, I’m too busy, I’ll start next week.” .”

This is all self-sabotage, because your ego is a part of you! Do you want to achieve something so desperately but can’t move on? Because? Your ego prevents you from making a change and growing to keep yourself safe. Sounds crazy, but the moment you REFUSE to believe in your ego, that’s the moment you make quantum leaps in your life, in your career, in weight loss, belly fat, flabby arms, absolutely everything. .

So now that you know what I’m talking about with your inner critic, how do you go about it to lose weight, get a flatter tummy, etc.?


3 individual steps.

1) You must be very clear about exactly what you want. How much weight do you want to lose, how do you look, how do you feel, what are you wearing now? Don’t limit yourself to this. Make goal cards and post them around your home, on your computer, and focus on them! Ask yourself this question: where do I want to be 6 months from now that will really make me happy with my progress? You know you don’t want to be where you are now in 6 months: you want to lose weight, tone your arms, and feel more confident and happy. Everyone does it, but not everyone chases it.

2) Believe you CAN do it! Regardless of what anyone tells you, you can do or be anything you want in this world, the only person stopping you is yourself! Avoid people who don’t support your dreams, avoid detractors who say you won’t make it. Surround yourself with friends and family who are supportive and hold you accountable for your weight loss goals, not those who will let you off the hook and bring you cakes and chocolates!

3) Take Action: If you want to lose weight and you have a coach telling you what to eat, you need to listen to him! Why sabotage yourself and eat junk food or drink to excess when it is NOT getting you closer to your goal? Your body and your life is a matter of personal responsibility! We constantly tell our clients that we are responsible for showing them how to lose weight, but ultimately it is a matter of personal responsibility. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t force it to drink. You have to grab that and understand that this is your life and you choose how you want to live it! If you don’t know what to do, get help; Find someone to be accountable to. Just do something in the right direction towards your goal.

I know it sounds too simple to work with, but it’s so deceptively simple that we dismiss it in a heartbeat. We were born to live an abundant life, filled with greatness and pure joy! It is your choice how you live your life, but I personally choose to live a life of magnificence and passion.

Make the decision today to make a change and watch yourself lose weight as you get closer to your goal every day! One of my favorite quotes: You either have your dream life/body or you have a lifetime of excuses for why it didn’t happen. I believe in you, I walk this path with you and I love you.
