Build Self-Confidence: 7 Steps to Boost Self-Esteem and Overcome Inferiority Complex

Low self-esteem and complete inferiority inhibit your ability to live to your full potential. They keep you imprisoned in a life of mediocrity and prevent you from seeing the true value of who you are and limit your ability to see the beauty and talents hidden within you.

The next 7 steps will help you begin to take control of your life so that you can increase your self-esteem, overcome your inferiority complex, and finally build your confidence to free yourself from your mental shackles and live the life you were meant to live.

Step #1 – Awaken to your True Identity and Divine Heritage

Your true identity reaches beyond your physical abilities and limitations into a realm that is so vast beyond your external world.

Once you understand this and understand your own unlimited potential and divinity, you will see that the things you have and what you have achieved are only part of your physical expressions.

You are valuable to the whole universal plan. You are important and you are just as valuable and just like everyone else.

Step #2 – Discover and discover your inner beauty

We tend to think that others are more talented, more beautiful, that they have more than us and we neglect to see the beauty in ourselves. You are a very important part of the whole divine master plan and you have a purpose for being here.

If you’re struggling with feelings of being worthless and can’t find meaning in your life, then it’s time for you to stop and take stock of who you are. Begin to explore yourself and search within yourself for the hidden gems that are locked within you. Turn your attention inward and look for the things that are unique to you.

Step #3 – Reprogram your subconscious mind

You are the gardener of your life. You decide what goes into your garden of life. If you decide you wanted cucumbers and decided to plant pumpkin seeds, then there is no way you will ever produce a crop of cucumbers. You must plant the seeds of the harvest you wish to manifest.

So it is with the garden of your life. Your seeds of thought that become your belief must coincide with the harvest. Your internal dialogue must match what you would like to manifest. What you think about most of the time will eventually become your reality, just as a physical garden will eventually manifest the harvest of its own kind.

Step #4 – Believe in yourself

Let go of the fear that is holding you back. Trust that you have everything you need within you to step out of your comfort zone and live a fully enriched life. Your past failures do not have to continue to dictate how your future will turn out. You ask, “What if I fail again?” Then get up again, move again, live again, keep moving forward. You can do it.

Step #5 – Attract and Surround Yourself with Positive People

Every time you have a positive influence around you, that energy snowballs with more positive results in your life. Start thinking about the kind of people you’d like to have around you to help you build your confidence.

Form symbiotic relationships with other people who have the characteristics you want that will help you instill the beliefs and character you want to develop.

Step #6 – Let Go of the Past to Experience Emotional Healing

Are you reliving the past every day? It’s time to let go, forgive yourself, forgive the situation and start creating new experiences in your life. It is time to heal from the emotional pain of your past. Yes, it was painful. Yes, you may still be living with the consequences of that experience, but you can still move on and create a better life for yourself by taking the first step: letting go.

Step #7 – Deal with Setbacks and Obstacles

On your journey to build self-confidence or face obstacles, there may be times when you slip back into old ways of thinking. But you don’t have to stop there and give up. Shake yourself off and get back on track, start over, try again until you succeed. Remember the saying, if you don’t succeed at first, try again.

Instead of punishing yourself, keep your goal of self-confidence as your focal point and direct your negative emotions towards something positive.
